Hassan Sheheryar Yasin

A graduate of the Pakistan School of Fashion Design and an affiliate of La Chambre Syndicale De La Couture Parisienne, France, Hassan Sheheryar Yasin or simply HSY is easily one of the most recognizable names in the region when it comes to fashion and entertainment. As a fashion brand, HSY is best known for combining contemporary silhouettes with traditional techniques. The brand’s inspiration is distinctly Eastern peppered with Western influences. Hassan Sheheryar Yasin is the fashion force behind the label and has been referred to as the ‘New King of Couture’ by Harper’s Bazaar magazine.
2015 marks 21 years of HSY in the fashion industry. He celebrates this milestone with gratitude via giving something back to the people. The designer’s credence of “Giving is the new achieving” in 2014 has paved the way for many of Hassan’s recent projects and he continues to work with numerous institutions to help raise funds. HSY’s creations have also been worn by a number of influential personalities from all walks of life. Hassan is one of the founding members of the Pakistan Fashion Design Council [PFDC] and the recipient of multiple ‘Designer of the Year’ awards, including the Ahlan Fashion and Lifestyle awards, the Lux Style Award, the Most Stylish Fashion Icon at the MTV Style Awards and Style Guru of the Year by Indus Style Awards to name a few. He was also honored as one of I.Q Magazine’s Top 20 Fashion Icons of the World and amongst Ahlan’s Hot 100 people for 2 years running. The designer is a Member of the Senate of the Pakistan Institute for Fashion and Design in Lahore, and has also been included in the recent book by Universal Oxford publications – 100 Pakistanis – the Famous and Influential.
